My Story with Reiki

There are moments in life when we feel that a new path is calling us. My story with Reiki began exactly that way.

At the age of 26, in June 2015, I took my first major step out of my comfort zone and left Brazil to live in Australia, where I spent five and a half years. It was a period filled with challenges, learning experiences, and profound personal transformation.

In January 2021, I began a new chapter of my life by moving once again, this time to Canada.

Throughout this journey across different cultures, experiences, and emotions, I realized that I needed to embrace and understand everything I was feeling. That was when I decided to seek therapeutic support.

I met a wonderful therapist who also became my Reiki teacher.

During our sessions, my heart gradually opened to something much greater. I knew she also initiated students into Reiki, and at a certain point I felt a deep inner calling.

On July 15, 2022, I sent her a message asking about this sacred energy.

The very next day, July 16, 2022, my journey of light and connection with Reiki began.

Since then, Reiki has become an inseparable part of my life.

It has brought me peace, balance, and experiences of unconditional love. It restores my inner calm, strengthens my connection with the Universe, and allows me to feel the energy flowing through everything that exists. After every Reiki session, I experience deep relaxation, peace, gratitude, and countless insights that arise from this profound connection.

As I embraced these experiences, I rediscovered a purpose that had always been within me.

My desire to care for others had started long before.

When I was 11 years old, I belonged to a church group called the Legion of Mary. We visited homes, orphanages, and nursing homes, prayed the Rosary, sang, and sought to bring spiritual comfort to those in need.

I did all of this with great love.

No one ever forced me. I was simply a child who genuinely enjoyed connecting with people and offering peace, kindness, and compassion.

Today, I reconnect with that little girl.

The difference is that this care no longer comes through a religion, yet it carries the same intention: to share love, presence, and healing through the divine energy of Reiki.

When I first began my Reiki journey, my only goal was to care for myself, find inner peace and harmony, and strengthen my spiritual connection.

I completed Reiki Levels I, II, and III, fully immersing myself in each stage of learning, never imagining that one day I would be called to share this light with others.

Everything I did was to nurture my awareness, my inner growth, and my peace.

After becoming a Holy Fire® Reiki Master, I continued practicing Reiki every day as a ritual of love, presence, and self-connection.

It was during one of these moments of deep surrender that I experienced something that would forever mark my path.

With my heart open and my mind completely still, an intense white light appeared before me.

From that light came a name, received with profound reverence: Reiki Renascence Sun.

At the same moment, I saw a symbol that seemed alive, vibrating with its own energy. I immediately grabbed a pen and paper and sketched the image, creating what has now become the identity of my work.

In that instant, I understood that it was much more than just a name.

To me, Reiki Renascence Sun represents a complete message.

Reiki, the universal life force energy that restores balance and harmony.

Renascence, the rebirth of the soul, mind, and spirit—a return to our true essence.

Sun, the symbol of light, warmth, and the life-giving energy that sustains all living beings.

This experience became even more meaningful when I discovered the connection to the meaning of my own name.

Guaracira, a name of Tupi origin, means “the bird that carries the light of the sun.”

At that moment, I realized that light had always been present throughout my life and that Reiki Renascence Sun was born carrying that same essence: awakening life energy, illuminating paths, and inspiring inner rebirth.

That was when I understood that my path was no longer only about my own healing.

I had received a calling to share this energy with others and allow Reiki to touch hearts, bringing peace, comfort, and transformation.

Today, I teach Reiki, offer both in-person and distance healing sessions, and continue sharing this energy with people from different parts of the world.

I live in Toronto, Canada, and continue this journey with deep gratitude, honoring the energy that transformed my life and inspires me every day to serve with love, respect, and presence.
