Article 4 — Rediscovering Your Identity During Climacteric

⏱️ Reading time: ~3 min · Mundo Reiki

Who are you… when nobody is asking anything from you?

That question, which may seem simple, gains profound meaning during climacteric.

For much of life, a woman’s identity is often built around others: being a mother, being a partner, being support, being a reference point.

And all of that has value.

But at some point, the need arises to go beyond those roles.

To find something that does not depend on a function. Something that is… essential.

Bach Flowers gently support this process.

They help dissolve layers of:

  • self-demand
  • need for approval
  • excessive adaptation

And they support the emergence of a more authentic identity.

Along this path, it is common for women to feel:

  • a desire to say “no” more often
  • the need to listen to themselves before responding to others
  • a new longing for freedom

This may cause discomfort — internally and externally.

But it is not rupture. It is alignment.

A woman begins to recognize herself beyond her roles.

And when that happens, something very precious unfolds:

She does not stop caring for others. She begins to include herself in that care.

Reiki and inner authenticity

Within Reiki, this process can be understood as a gradual return to one’s own center.

The practice encourages greater presence and inner awareness, allowing women to recognize patterns that no longer make sense and strengthen choices that are more aligned with their truth.

Reiki does not impose a new identity.

It simply creates space for what already exists internally to emerge more clearly.

Instead of living only according to roles, a woman begins to experience a more conscious relationship with herself.

“In Reiki, caring for yourself does not mean distancing yourself from others, but strengthening your own emotional and energetic foundation.”
